About the Book:
Listed on the Wall Street Journal and Publishers Weekly Top 10 for this week.
Showcasing the confidence she’s gathered from her own life journey, Kim Gravel–beloved QVC star and creator of Belle by Kim Gravel and Belle Beauty–invites you to look at yourself with a fresh new lens, encouraging you to start where you are and become the person you were meant to be.
In Collecting Confidence, Kim reminds you that you are not your current circumstance. You are not your current habits. Where you are right now is, in fact, simply your starting place to become who you’re meant to be. If you’ve lost your way and forgotten who you are, this book will
- equip you to glean empowerment from life’s lowest moments.
- blend down-home wisdom with laugh-out-loud humor.
- inspire you with no-holds-barred stories from Graceland to Piggly Wiggly.
- help you understand the importance of how you see yourself.
- change your perspective to realize mistakes can be stepping stones.
Now is the time to be still, listen to God, and start collecting confidence one step, one lesson, one experience, and even one mistake at a time. As Kim says, “You can’t be authentic in the world if you can’t be real with yourself.” Collecting Confidence is a sumptuous collection of life experiences, hard-earned wisdom, and unexpected blessings.
Amazon has it listed as a 5 out off 5 stars5 start reviewFeeling like your life is the same day after day? Want your MOJO back? Buy this book! I read it one day because I couldn’t put it down. When reading this you will feel like Kim is sitting in the same room as you, story telling and speaking truth in love to your soul. Do not miss out on the opportunity of learning how to walk in the calling God has designed for you with confidence. So grab a cozy drink, snuggle up under your favorite blanket, and collect confidence.5 star reviewOh my – such a great book full of wisdom, humor and inspiration. Whatever your journey in life has been thus far – you will find this relatable, uplifting – and downright funny – sometimes through the tears! Kim Gravel is funny – about serious things – and wants you to know that YOU matter, YOU are here for a purpose. As she says, “if you ain’t dead, you ain’t done yet”! She is a former Miss Georgia, reality show star (“Kim of Queens” – about being a pagent coach), business mogul with a clothing and beauty line – and everyday mom and wife. She is a woman of faith and reminds us that God finishes what he starts – it is never too late to find your life’s purpose.Barnes and Noble all 5 Star Reviews5 Star ReviewI just finished this book and WOW! I’ve followed Kim Gravel for years on QVC and wear clothes from her line. She has a way of connecting with people & I just love her energy. This is not a self help book but it’s a great reality check book. Stop self-sabotage and don’t let the world tear down your confidence. This book is a great reminder. It’s so good you’ll want to have a highlighter handy. It keeps you engaged and you’ll feel like Kim is your bestie when you’re done reading it. I highly recommend it. Buy one for yourself, your daughter, your bestie. They’ll love you for it.5 Star ReviewCollecting Confidence by Kim Gravel is a great read. Well worth your time. It has a kind calming word for women and girls of all ages. It had me in tears one minute and then laughing out loud the next. It’s like Kim is in the room with giving encouragement. There are a lot of great sayings to remember also. I read the digital version and plan to reread it with my highlighter. Love love this book!Media Reviews SRQmagazine review (emailed for permission)Collecting Confidence: Start Where You Become the Person You Were Meant to Be is the best self-help book I’ve read since Sincero’s You Are a BadAss. And that’s high praise from someone with a high bar when it comes to this genre, having a masters in counseling with a minor in intermittent low confidence! I’ve been immune to lesser well-meaning books due to their dubious notions. But not Kim Gravel, an authentic woman who matter of factly relays her rise and failure to the Miss America pageant followed by her reality show Kim of Queens (of which I’ve never seen, so no worries to have to study beforehand) and her QVC cosmetic line.I found myself copying the handful of pages with larger quotes to give to women I know, who also struggle with being undervalued and consequently self-limiting. Her slogans were not only catchy, but deeply effective due to their provocative deep thought resonance.Christian Book 5 Start ReviewKim is so down-to-earth I was immediately drawn in. I enjoy Kim on QVC and wear her fantastic jeans, so I was excited to get my hands on this book and read her story. Kim has a big, beautiful personality and her warmth and humor shine through the pages.
I could hear her voice as I read, but this book is so much more than Kim’s personal journey, her funny stories (the pantyhose story cracked me up!) and the edification she offers. This book is packed with Godly wisdom. It opened my eyes. The way Kim explains the calling God has placed on each of our lives makes perfect sense and changed my perspective. There is much truth and many wise sayings I have underlined and shared with family. Not only did I enjoy the read but learned some important lessons!
