Rick Riordan will be signing copies of the second in his series The Kane Chronicles, “The Throne of Fire.” Released in May, 2011, “The Throne of Fire” made #1 on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal Best Seller lists. The first in the series, “The Red Pyramid,” was also #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list and winner of the Children’s Choice Book Awards 2011 for Best Book, Grades 5-6.
The son of two school teachers, Riordan grew up an avid reader, interested in Greek and Norse mythology, and cites “The Lord of the Rings” series as the first books that caught his attention. He’s a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, a teacher and an avid guitar enthusiast. He’s the author of numerous series — check them out after the jump.
