The Demon of Screamin, Steven Tyler, has just penned his soon-to-be-released memoir, “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?” – chronicling his four decades as frontman of Aerosmith. No official word on a book tour has come down from the mountain of rock gods yet; but this fan remains hopeful…
Tyler is currently serving his tour of duty as the newest judge on FOX’s American Idol. And while one might expect a rock legend of his caliber to shatter the dreams of America’s young hopefuls by his mere presence alone, Tyler has chosen to take the kinder and gentler route in offering his feedback to the contestants (bless his heart). Dream on…
Idol will wrap in May; and in January, Tyler told Howard Stern that Aerosmith is already booked for tours in South America and Japan in November and December 2011. So as of now, that leaves a possible window of opportunity for a book tour – hmm hmm hmm? Stay tuned to Book Signing Central for future developments. You can sign up for the email newsletter (to your right) and we’ll keep you posted. “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?” comes out on May 3, 2011. Pre-order your copy on Amazon.
From inside the flap
“I’ve been mythicized, Mick-icized, eulogized and fooligized, I’ve been Cole-Portered and farmer’s-daughtered, I’ve been Led Zepped and 12-stepped. I’m a rhyming fool and so cool that me, Fritz the Cat, and Mohair Sam are the baddest cats that am. I have so many outrageous stories, too many, and I’m gonna tell ’em all. All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear.” –Steven Tyler
